A recording of Johnny Cash reading from the 9th chapter of Revelation and I added in the Choir of NYC, Astoria's Greek Orthodox Church.
OH MY ....
Really?
Really what?
That was Glorious. Thank you.
I wish it was longer......
Thanks!
I am listening to Johnny Cash read the entire Gospel of John...but no star pics or Greek Orthodox Music, unfortunately.
I had no idea how wonderful a NARRATOR Johnny Cash was. I mean, he was a great singer, but this is another side of him.
Been watching highlights from the UConn men vs. Temple men’s basketball game for the semifinals for the AAC Championship college basketball games. Was at church tonight, vigil for Sunday mass, with the change of the clocks.
Johnny Cash recorded the entire New Testament years ago, NKJV with Thomas Nelson. I think it’s still available.
Yes!
It’s all on You Tube.
I had the KJV with Efraim Zimblast Jr on cassettes 30 years ago. I listened to it constantly in my car. (The WHOLE thing, including the begats)
The NIV Live is excellent. I didn’t listen or watch the added bonus, but rather went right into it.(did not want to associate a person with the Word)
By the way Revelation promises a blessing to those who read and listen to it.

I like the NIV as well. It’s conversational and very clear and understandable.
My first Bible was the New American Standard Version which has the dignity of language of the KJV, but not as archaic. It still uses “Thees and Thous” but only when referring to the Deity. Kind of arbitrary, I know, but it was translated many years ago when people still though “Thees and Thous” were some kind of pious holy language, even though it was merely 17th century vernacular for pronouns in general.
