Do not be upset when things don't happen in your timetable. It takes strong will to move forward and our Lord gives you the necessary strength for it daily. “My grace is sufficient for you,†he said to St. Paul in 2 Corinth. 12:9. If today you are weak, that's where His power works: in weakness.
But in weakness do not lose your hope. Instead, increase your hope because the power of God is working in your if you put your hope only on Him. Yes in weakness. That's what St. Paul says in that very verse quoted above.
Obedience to Commandments
Remember that "if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his" (Romans 6:5). Just don't let sin reign in your mortal body and don't obey it's evil desires. God is our master and heavenly Father. We obey him. The blessings come from Him. If you love Him, if you remain in Him and let Him remain in you by keeping his memory in your thoughts and heart, "ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)
"Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching." (John 14:23) The standard of the measurement is clear: unless you keep God's commandments you cannot say you love Him. "If you love me, keep my commands." (John 14:15) (Follow the Journey with me on my Facebook page)
The Path is Narrow and Easy
For some people God's calling may seem a difficult path. When you are new in the journey Jesus tells "enter the narrow gate" (Mat. 7:13). This is why the journey seems difficult. But when you are steadfast in this journey of God's calling and the Lord sees your effort, He tells you "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matt. 11:30). You will feel the difference when you stay on course.
Fear is about future things. Future, doesn't exist today. God is in future. Therefore, fear is completely unfounded.
“Sufficient unto the day is the need thereof.” The Strength of God is my strength.
“For some people God’s calling may seem a difficult path.”
I’m fond of saying that your calling will keep calling until you answer.
True, he keeps calling until we reply. But there is a time. The time is while we are on this world. We don’t know how much time is left for each of us.
