OKLAHOMA CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) - On Christmas Eve, the Oklahoma satanists who planned to pour blood on a staute of the Blessed Virgin in front of St. Joseph's Old Cathedral were met with a counter-protest: a group of Catholics with Rosaries and Gregorian chant bearing a statue of Our Lady on a litre (pictured above). Many of the Catholics represented the traditional Catholic international group Tradition, Family and Property (TFP).

The leader of the Satanic Church of Ahriman, Adam Daniels, a registered sex offender who has used the alias "Adam Smith," obtained a permit to conduct his protest, titled, "The Virgin Birth Is a Lie." He said he wants to expose the "lies of the Catholic Church" by adding "another layer of corruption to Mary." He says the Virgin Birth of Jesus is a "fraud."

At 3:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve, approximately 40 TFP volunteers and other Catholics formed a peaceful protest on the sidewalk across the street from St. Joseph's, where the satanists were scheduled to perform their display. And directly above the satanist display, Catholics hung a giant banner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help from a parking garage.

At 4:15 p.m., several satanists arrived, placing a statue of the Blessed Virgin on two cinderblocks. They began smearing her with fake blood and red powder. Daniels shouted what seemed to be a mock Rosary, but the Catholic protestors increased the volume of their recitation of Our Lady's Rosary. The satanists, vastly outnumbered by the Catholic group largely consisting of young men, were inaudible to those on the street. Nor were they easily visible; some Catholics brought their RV vehicles and parked them on the sidewalk so that the satanists' display could not be seen.

The blasphemous demonstration lasted just over half an hour, but the Catholics stayed longer to continue praying.

The day before, Catholics from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas had gathered to protest outside of City Hall in Oklahoma City to object to the permit granted to Daniels for his satanic display. The protestors shouted for Mayor Mick Cornett to revoke Daniels' permit. His office contacted TFP asking them to take down the link to his office's email address on their Facebook page, because they were receiving tens of thousands of emails petitioning the revocation of the satanists' permit. In fact, nearly 50,000 people called, signed petitions or emailed the mayor's office in protest.

Among those who protested outside City Hall was Kansas senator Steve Fitzgerald, who publicly encouraged Catholics to continue to defend the Mother of God and to fight the culture battle against satanism.

Some Catholics, however, were not pleased with the TFP counterdemonstration. Reports say a man who claimed to represent St. Joseph's rebuked the protestors for coming and refused to let the Catholics stand on the sidewalk outside the parish adjacent to the satanists' display.

And a Knight of Columbus who joined the Rosary rally said his council had specifically told the knights to refrain from attending. Following his conscience, he came anyway, aqnd said that things like the satanic demonstration happen "because Catholics do nothing."

Satan is a liar. He wants men to believe lies. If the virgin birth is a lie, Lucifer wants us all to believe it. Satan would not try to convince believers not to believe the lie.

I can look at both ‘groups’ on the same coin.
For me, both worship what is not God, i.e., the created fallen one, or the created human woman. Both were designed as ‘vessels’, one of the light that lit THE Throne, and one to carry the forthcoming promised messiah. Neither of which has dietal ascriptions to them, and by Scripture, not dogma, neither are to be worshipped.

So, to me, the satanists did this, because it WOULD and DID bring out this point.

The Satanists had their own statue which they’d legally obtained. Likewise I don’t commit a hate crime if I wipe my butt with pages from a koran that I bought with my own money.

So it might be illegal to throw bacon at a mosque but it is not illegal to eat my bacon from a copy of the koran while standing on the sidewalk in front of a mosque.

The best thing to do with the Satanists is to ignore them or silently pray and deny them the media spectacle they really want.

I've tried to understand what you wrote, but it is a struggle.  Replacing one proposition with another and getting rid of some of the double negatives leaves me with this.

Satan is a liar. He wants men to believe lies. If "Mary is really Justin Beiber"  is a lie, Lucifer wants us all to believe Mary is Justin Beiber. Satan would want believers to believe Mary is Justin Beiber.

If it were possible that many would believe that Mary was Justin Bieber, Satan and his minions would promote it. Proving that Mary is not Justin Bieber.

There were no double negatives - to say “Joe would not tell you not to do that”; is not a double negative, since each negative appears in a separate clause, each ascribed to a unique subject. Perfectly correct, grammatically.

Your grasp of logic appears to be as faulty as your grasp of grammar. Your conclusion is neither logical, nor does it follow my original proposition.

Satan wants us to believe lies - if his followers are pushing an idea (Mary is Justin Bieber or there was no virgin birth), we can be certain the idea is a lie...therefor, we would know that Mary is NOT Justin Bieber, the virgin birth is true.

To pray is to petition. Look up ’prayer” in any law dictionary. Yes, Mary is a creature. The most exalted of creatures. She amongst all the virgins of Israel was most pure and so was chosen by God to bear true Son of God.

I think that it's like burning the flag....if you buy a flag and burn it...it's your property, same with a statue, if it's mine, keep your hands off....if you buy it, it is a hunk of plaster and you can do what you want with it.
