About six months ago, I mentioned how Margaret Archer, president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS) paved the way for socialists to influence Laudato Si. My remarks concerning Archer were rather perfunctory.
Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute has released a piece in which he delves into Archer's past career, revealing her own Marxist mindset. He also exposes the same in several other members of the PASS. How is it that all these people, who espouse and promote ideologies at odds with Church teaching, were granted admittance to positions of influence?
Remember the plane interview that the pope gave last month, just as the UN summit on climate change was set to begin in Paris? At that time, he said that the summit was "humanity's last chance to thwart climate disaster" and that the world was "at the limits of suicide". Voice of the Family announced today that the pope is pleased with the final agreement that came from that gabfest, although the language contained therein promotes abortion and contraception. I urge you all to read VOTF's excellent analysis. I needn't rehash it here, but will now touch upon an American who was present at that meeting.
He is California Governor Jerry Brown and he's known in many circles as "moon beam". What follows is just one reason why he so richly deserves that moniker. In an address that he gave to the other attendees at the UN meeting in support of their objectives, he advised them to "never underestimate the coercive power of the central state in the service of good". Yes, he actually uttered that bald-faced endorsement of governmental coercion of citizens. It is screed worthy of Josef Stalin or Chairman Mao: not of a governor of one of the fifty United States of America.
Now recall that the pope is pleased with the final outcome of this meeting, this "last chance for humanity"! The pope cannot be blind to the rampant, overt socialism oozing forth from the Vatican and the summits that he supports. Regrettably he seems to be of like mind with the Marxists.
Ok is this a Catholic caucus thread? I won’t get flogged if I say this pope is a train wreck will I?

Global warming programs in effect, monetize energy usage and if you’ve heard of Pareto’s 80/20 rule, then you know where it’s all leading to. It’s to link energy usage and money together to become a hidden world currency standard.
Right now energy is used in a disproportionate distribution. If you think of Pareto’s rule and Energy, 80% of the people probably use 80% of the energy, so it doesn’t follow typical wealth distributions.
By getting in bed with the Greens the Pope will end up supporting contraceptives & abortion since the earth first marxists advocate such in their climate change advocacy.

Bergoglio has a history, going back forty years or more, of surrounding himself with sycophants, and freezing out those who aren’t fans. He is a totally conventional South American lefty, who talks only to other lefties.
This is why the Vatican is on every lefty bandwagon. No competing ideas or information will ever get through to the Pope. He has been using power to insulate himself from reality since the first time he ever acquired any power.
Catholics needn’t waste any time or energy hoping that the Pope will ever say a word to wake people up to the totalitarians who are plotting the destruction of Europe, the U.S., or Canada.

That's not what caused it. The sellout on the Bible, accepting higher criticism and evolution (which have had Catholic apologists for over a century and which have now been elevated to the status of dogma) is what caused it. Do you honestly think a Catholic Church that hadn't already sold out on the Bible would have let homosexuals into the priesthood???

yeah, that’s what we Episcopalians said. Unfortunately hell is winning. I for one, have left “organized” religion. Still a Christian, still read the bible, still pray ... but without the organization. A lot better for me.
Catholic here. We haven’t left the church, the church is leaving us. The core of God’s church will always be the people themselves, not the leadership. We are the church, and we can stand apart from whatever deceitful nut gets elected in a corrupted process.
