There is a certain type of environmentalist who lives in a nice house or mansion, owns a nice car or limousine, only eats at the finest restaurants, owns all the latest gadgets. He likes to imagine that he is “saving the earth” because his 2000 sq ft home theater in his 15000 sq ft mansion uses energy efficient light bulbs and the bathroom in his private jet is stocked with toilet paper made from recycled paper. But he loves to tell “the little people” how they should live with less. He gets upset when he learns that children in some third-world village are not starving because the farmers there are able to use modern methods and technology.
The Limo-Libs have done it again in Paris. They would rather the poor starved and the middle class shiver under their blankets, than we the world prosper with cheap energy.
