Heavenly Father,

This Veterans Day, we thank you, Lord, for raising up men and women to defend our country and our freedoms. May we never forget the many who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as those wounded and still bear the scars, whether physically or emotionally. May will lift them up as well as their loved ones in our prayers for healing and comfort.

We confess our ungrateful spirit for their sacrifices as well as taking for granted Your sacrifice to save our souls. Fill us with Your Spirit, Lord, and guide us. Give us courage to stand for what is right and reflect Your Light in this dark world.

Protect all those who still sacrifice and go into harm’s way to defend us, home and abroad. Shield Your servants from attacks on all fronts. And through the power of Your Spirit, may America will be great again.
