For this is what the LORD says – he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited – he says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other. I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.” (Isaiah 45:18-19)

Father God, we thank You for another day, and we praise You for all that You do.
Father, we pray that You would protect the men and women in our military, whether they serve at home or abroad, and grant peace to their families.
O LORD, You are God. You created the heavens, You fashioned and made the earth, and founded it; You did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited. You are the LORD, and there is no other. You have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; You have not said to Jacob’s descendants or to any of Adam’s children: “Seek me in vain.” O Lord, You speak the truth and declare what is right. To the ends of the earth, Lord, You have sent Your Gospel, and Your works proclaim Your glory in every language; You have not left Yourself without witness in any nation. Because You have called to us, we pray to You, in that Name You have given us, the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
