There can only be one way to be Catholic. One is either Catholic or not Catholic. For example, there are the Old Catholics, but hey are not Catholic.

To posit that the Holy Faith would be broken down into legitimate branches is totally absurd and evil. I would strongly suggest that you do not listen to such ideas.

I agree. I did not say the branches would be legitimate. I’m saying that given the obvious chaos and pseudo schism already under way, the outcome for the Church, reportedly could very well become a three way schism. That article I referenced reasoned that there are basically three divisions already obvious in the Church.

The writer simply extrapolated out from the three divisions already obvious, that if they were made formal and official, then this is what the Church would look like, ie., Orthodox, Traditional and Progressive.

Just wondering how you answer that intelligently?

Are you Orthodox? I don’t happen to know where you are coming from.

It’s never been clear to me why JPII took no action.

According to an interview back in the 1990s with former Vatican insider, author, professor, and exorcist Father Malachi Martin - JPII had little interest in the sex abuse scandal and feigned powerlessness to anyone who asked him about it.

Martin said the one "dream" of JPII was a worldwide uniting of all faiths into some sort of one world religion alliance; a sort of quasi-ecumenical utopia. Martin had left the Jesuit order (and been released of of his vow of poverty) decades earlier with the blessing of Pope Paul VI, but remained an adviser on an informal basis and also reported to a highly placed Vatican official for his authority. Martin repeated that in many personal conversations he had with JPII, the pope kept telling him that "uniting" all faiths was his one dream and ultimate goal. Martin wished he had taken back the power of the papacy to reign in those he considered rouge liberals, but JPII would not act.

There was probably a smoking gun somewhere in those documents. And I do think there was probably some strange financial connection in there, too.

I believe that also. When Martin wrote "Windswept House", he frankly admitted that his life was in danger because of it. He also knew two priest that he told Art Bell had been murdered.

I am a Traditional pre-Vatican II Catholic. A Catholic who follows the Traditional Catholic Faith before it was changed in 1960. So I would be someone who believes that the Church has already gone into schism. All we are seeing now is further fracturing as a result of the initial schism.

Not a popular view here for sure.

Ah, well, that explains it. I certainly agree about a schism caused at VATICAN II. There is not a shred of good fruit to be found from it’s results, either.

It is not even hard to recognize. Nothing has come of V2 but trouble, minimization of the Mass and of all things holy, while pleasing and tickling the ears of only the self centered Western Catholics sitting in the pew, waiting to hurry off, to get out of Mass to the golf course and the games.

The argument is about the intentions of V2 and the West high jacking those intentions and implementing a nefarious outcome and stealing the microphone to seal the deal. It was all outrageous, and similar to what this Synod business is producing— intentional chaos to steal the message again, and ram through even more false doctrine.

That book is impossible to ignore in light of today, as things have become even more critical than when it was written. Things were horrifying then. It’s like a modern day Revelation.

Windswept House is a shake up, but it sits in prime place on my reading table, reminding me not to be certain that things will ever be okay, until the Lord’s Blessed Return.

The intentions of Vatican II are very clear: a new religion that is focused on false ecumenism. And we have all the post Vatican II popes' words and actions to support those intentions.

I have that book. Read it over ten years ago. Need to dig it out.

Or I can watch it live I guess.

Look, a thread from 11 years ago about it.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1136142/posts

Malachi Martin was a genius. He spoke 14 languages. He was an archiologist, exorcist, professor, insider, and prolific author.

His interviews on YouTube with Art Bell are spell binding. He knew secrets and things that blow your mind.
