Aleppo archbishop says Christians in the country feel hope thanks to Putin's involvement
One of Syria’s leading churchmen has welcomed Russia’s intervention.
Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop Jean-Clément Jeanbart of Aleppo told Swiss television that Vladimir Putin’s intervention was a source of “hope” for the country’s Christians.
The Russian president, Archbishop Jeanbart told Télévision Suisse Romande, “serves the Christians’ cause”, even if Moscow was only serving its own interests.
Archbishop Jeanbart spoke of a “renewal of confidence” among Christians in Syria, adding that President Putin “is solving a problem”.

I MUST disagree. American did NOT bring back beheading, slavery, burning alive, rape, and desicration of ancient religious locales.
American, rather, ALLOWED the return of all of the above, and probably a few we haven’t listed yet.
To BRING something requires a direct action.
To ALLOW something is to sit dumbly by and think up lame reasons not to lift a finger against the barbaric savagery.
Possibly the beginnings of this could not have been prevented, but surely there was a CHOICE to let this go this far. Eventually, a terrible price will be paid.

Oddly enough, to some extent, I think Putin imagines himself in the role of “Defender of Christendom”, in the Slavic tradition. This can get complicated.
If Syrian Christians have to choose between Obama and Putin, Putin at least offers them some hope. Obama would see every Christian dead or enslaved in his dream of empowering the Greater Caliphate.

And it still was rather hard to believe on December 13, 1993 when this message was given: Prophecy On Russia.
There are many other similar messages about Russia in between those and after them but now they don't seem so unlikely anymore.
Pray for our nation. We've chosen poorly in every opportunity we've been given.
Has our role in the world been given to a former enemy who is now more worthy of His Favor?
