We can glean from scripture that “The Whore of Babylon” (a name bestowed by God Himself) is a false religious system.

That is true, the scripture does not say that this whore killed the saints but that the whore became drunk on the blood of the saints, which seems to mean she is using the names of the saints and trying to copy them but like a drunk she is going far beyond what the saints them selves went where power and authority are concerned.

Also we might keep in mind that the seven mountains may be the same thing as the seven kings and seven heads and may not have any thing to do with actual landscape.

It says she sits upon many waters, where ever you go there she is.

We can see that it could not have been fulfilled in johns time because the ten kings which was to give their power to the beast and bring her destruction did not have any power at that time, they were not here.

It is obviously something that is considered good and a good name other wise why would God have to tell his people to come out of it in Rev 18?

I was thinking the other day that we have wondered and peculated about the meaning of 666, but then it came to me. The US is worse than Rome was. Even Romans detested the Carthaginian practice that most Americans have adopted; the practice of sacrificing their own children to Moloch in order to ensure they can afford iPhones, iPads, iSex, and I, I, I, everything else.
