I am confused
Are we talking it like Henry VIII breaking way from Church to form Church of England in order get divorce from his suffering wife Catherine of Aragon to marry Great Whore Ann Boylen

More like the way the Orthodox broke from the Western Church over whether the Creed should say “who proceeds from the Father and the Son” or simply “who proceeds from the Father”; aka the Filioque.

No. I believe the analogy is modeled on that of Judaism.

Confused?

If you tried to read this article full of gibberish past ‘...They are positively pro-life, they support traditional family structures, and encourage fine music, beautiful liturgy, art, and architecture. They are in favor of celibacy for an ll-male priesthood, a renewal of the enclosed religious life, and support a wide range of traditional devotions ...’

What is ‘positively pro life?’

In faved of an all male priesthood? It’s dogmatic. It’s not up to individuals. He doesn’t leave out all male in his celibacy statement. This is propaganda

A renewal of the enclosed religious life? What? As opposed to what? What is he talking about? If nuns want to be cloisters what is it to anyone? Who is ‘in favor’ or not ‘in favor ‘ of this?

If nuns want to be cloistered do they need approval from some members of the laity?

This is typical NYT religious reporting. Crap
