God, You are our God; with deepest longing we will seek You; Our souls [our lives, our very selves] thirst for You, our flesh longs and sighs for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. So, we have chosen to gaze upon You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, our lips shall praise You. So will we bless You as long as we live; We lift up our hands in Your name...
We pray for our United States military. On their behalf, we confess that You have been and will continue to be their help, and in the shadow of Your wings [where they are always protected] we sing for joy.
In the midst of enemies within and without, our soul [our lives, our very selves] cling to You; Your right hand upholds us.
According to Your Word, those who seek our lives to destroy it will [be destroyed and] go into the depths of the earth [into the underworld]. They will be given over to the power of the sword; They will be a prey for foxes. But we will rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by You[honoring the true God, acknowledging His authority and majesty] will glory, For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
We are receivers of these promises in Jesus' name and give You thanks. Hallelujah.
