The Church must preach the Gospel, undiluted and unadulterated. In the Gospels, there are accounts of men coming to Jesus and posing the question: "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25, Mark 10:17). The task of the Church is to answer that question for men of all generations. The road is, as the Gospels tell us, "a narrow one".
There will always be those, like the young man in the Gospel, who "go away sad" (Mark 10:22) on hearing what the Church has to say. Is that an example of the Church "excluding"? I think not.
By pushing the false idea that the Church "excludes", the cardinal is helping to perpetuate a lie.
It sounds like the RCC is getting ready to make some radical changes to their doctrine. “Gay matrimony?” At least they’re not even hinting at open socialism.
Maybe the RCC will endorse Bernie Sanders.
Of course the true Church excludes. Haven’t you read any of the epistles of Paul? Even Jesus excluded - FREQUENTLY.
This man doesn’t even know the gospel
Well said.
“Sympathy for the Devil” is an old, but durable con. Mean old CHURCH! Mean, fundie CHRISTIANS! Where’s the COMPASSION?
Harsh truth: God opposes the proud but He gives grace to the humble. Guess what camp the people demanding “inclusion” are in?
Just ask any of them about accommodating creationists and find out how "inclusive" they want to be.
Cardinal Baldisseri is, as usual, parroting his boss.
