OK, I understand what you were saying now and I, too, have seen Catholics jump ship to the schismatic Orthodox.
Smaller and more devout may build that remnant we pray to become, in our pilgrimage.
I don't see how so many folks figure jumping around solves anything.
I studied and read for a decade before I came to the Church, and that after having some things that had bothered me most of my life. If you have serious questions no one can answer, that's one thing, but moving to avoid having to deal with a termite infestation ?
I know Baptists who have jumped ship to the Methodists and now back to a Baptist Church; Lutherans who became Independent Evangelicals then came back to the Lutheran Church again only to leave for something else (I forgot what); and now have met a ton of Catholics who left the Church and came but who are now thinking of moving again.
It's really sad how many folks don't even take their faith as seriously as they take which brand of auto to buy.
Makes me think of the song, "Dust in the Wind".
