Putin Suggests Creating Christian Historical-Cultural Center in Sevastopol

Sevastopol, September 14, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested founding a Christian historical-cultural center not far from the Khersones reserve.

"We have an idea, and I said to Mr Berlusconi yesterday that a Christian historical-cultural center [can be founded] somewhere not far from here in order not to interfere with Sevastopol," the president said during a visit to Khersones.

Putin reiterated that he means a center that will comprise "all Christian denominations, not just Orthodox Christianity."

The president said such centers do not exist anywhere in the world. He believes that "we will need to come together and think how this project can be implemented."

"I really like the idea of creating a historical-cultural center," Silvio Berlusconi, former prime minister of Italy, told reporters.

"If President Putin sees fit, I will be ready to send Italian architects and bring Italian plants here," he said.

Putin is a thug. He murders reports and enemies.

But with the right president the past 6 years, we could have severely damaged the muslim menace.

And we all know he is an atheist (or pretty sure). But he knows Christianity is the LAST way to save the west (which he knows the world needs) and to save Russia.

I might be wrong on a bunch of points, and as always, welcome critiques.

I was an atheist once, but I never rejected Western traditions because I knew that all other forms of civilization was suicide or enslavement.

I’ve gone through my periods of Severe weakness of faith.

NEVER doubted the need for Christianity.

Faith got strong with each tribulation in life.

Hard to believe---but Putin is a devout Christian. It has been
reported Putin always carries a cross given to him by his mother.

Putin eagerly proclaimed his Christianity in a NYT Op-Ed awhile back.

Putin also vocally decried Christian slaughter by Muzzies in Egypt and also defended Egyptian Gen al-Sisi in his efforts to drive the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics. Putin was there for al-Sisi when the general vowed to rebuild the 63 churches torched by Muzzies who rampaged over Christian homes and businesses.

Putin’s impressive debut on the NYT op-ed page announced his personally-held beliefs thusly: "......when we ask for the Lord's blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal."

......this is something every Christian believes---an article of faith for Christians.....and, not coincidentally, the bedrock of our constitutional republic........

==============================================

We, the people, know we will never hear Obama say anything even remotely religious.

===========================================

When Putin professes Jesus as the Son of God and kneels confessing Him as Lord of his life and Messiah of Israel, then I believe some of what he says.

Christ admonishes us not to judge others lest we be judged. No one knows what's in a person's heart.

Besides, we don't know that Putin hasn't professed Jesus as the Son of God and kneels to Him as his Lord.....he doesn't have to do this publicly.

yeah, but having political enemies poisoned with radiation, and having reporters and enemies killed doesn’t jibe with Christianity.

He might justify it in his mind that it is for the great good of Russia. Still murder.

He has a ways to go towards redemption. But who doesn’t?

“Your father DID BUSINESS with Hyman Roth. He RESPECTED Hyman Roth, but he never TRUSTED Hyman Roth.”

Good approach to Putin.

The whole concept was unthinkable a short 25 years ago.

Thanks, Ronald Reagan.

Even Christ lost it when he saw wrong-doing. He got angry and threw the moneychangers out of the temple.

Interesting that today’s Christians would not consider that to be wrong-doing....would not get angry at such an occurrence.
