After hearing these rants from so called “religious” leaders, and the commie/socialist leanings of the pope, one can only question the value of going to church.

Schönborn is a flake. He is a great scholar, etc., but a flake.

The value of going to church—i.e., going to Mass and receiving Communion—has absolutely nothing to do with the idiot Bergoglio and his allies.

Flying ponies are better than shank's mare, too. That doesn't mean they exist.

While there may be a small minority of 'stable gay relationships', this is nonsense.

I guess we know who’s a mouthpiece for homosexualism.

What a dweeb! How’d he ever get to rise above priest under the previous 2 popes?

And murder is worse than rape, but both are still evil.

Cardinal, you need to learn a bit more about the topic.

Most gay marriages and “stable relationships” are “open relationships.”

Either partner is permitted to sleep with whomever they wish.

The only rule is that they tell their “partner” first and do not do it behind their back (sorry, yes, pun intended).

Only the older gay couples remain somewhat monogamous, and that is only after a lifetime of hedonism.

Cardinal, preach the truth of the Bible, not the secularized version.

The truth will set you free, Cardinal.

Try it some time.

Homosexuality is an affliction that has been around since the beginning of humanity. And it is neither inborn nor learned in every case but one or the other. No one can determine. That’s the Catholic position on it from what I understand

Now these bishops want to change the way it’s supposed to be viewed. They think they have that authority. They suddenly after many thousands of years have a new discovery

One has to wonder why

The Saudis want to buy Mosques in Europe

Good way to raise money for the catholic church.

And a stable adulterous relationship is no doubt better than a series of temporary ones. Neither comparison makes the stable version of defying God’s word a positive choice.

I don’t know about that. I don’t think the Bishops are that misguided about money Oh well I guess I wouldn’t be that surprised

Does this Cardinal really think that “marriage” will make a homosexual relationship stable? Or does he just want you to think that?

Would everyone (Catholic and non-Catholic, alike) please ignore this blithering heretic? Whatever good things he has done in the past have been swamped by his full-hearted collapse into the Spirit of the Age.

Pray for his soul, and ignore anything he says. That’s also a pretty good rule for most (though not all) German-speaking bishops...

NO! Ignoring means keeping one’s head in the sand. I did that for far too long. I WILL NOT do it anymore.

No such thing as a stable homosexual relationship 95% of the time.

Maybe with a 14-year-old?

I didn’t mean to stop proclaiming the truth, or identifying error (it’d be impossible to identify his blather as heresy, otherwise). I meant, “Don’t give any credibility to this blithering heretic, and tell everyone you meet to follow that same policy.”

By all means, fight his initiatives, tooth and nail. I’m just urging any “on the fence Catholics” (or non-Catholics) that this man is NOT to be taken as any sort of spokesman for Catholic teaching (which he’s trashing, left and right, with his comments—as are many of the German bishops).

Uncatechized Catholics might otherwise be fooled into thinking that “it must be true, because a noteworthy cardinal said so!”—and the usual brood of anti-Catholic vipers might otherwise be fooled into using this nonsense as yet another stick with which to beat the Catholic Church Whom they hate with such blind passion. (The latter will do that anyway, I guess... integrity notwithstanding.)

Before we got to our current level of devolvement, just where did all the homosexuals come from? People can’t blame homosexuals for “gay marriage” because in order for that to be even remotely possible heterosexuals had to first abdicate their God-given roles...and they did.

No one should be surprised at homosexual promiscuity. Look at how heterosexual men behave when given access to noncommittal sex! True, they aren’t “going against nature”, but they most certainly are going against God. Such defiled men are hardly in a position to hold the moral line against other, seemingly more defiled men.

Mass abortion is squarely on the shoulders of heterosexuals, an essential component of their sexual “freedom”. Where do they get off saying, “I thank you, oh God, that I’m not like OTHER sexual sinners...”? In every society, in every case, it is they who opened Pandora’s Box to perversion.

And then have the nerve to say “Whodunnit?”
