Cruz got outplay and very seriously embarrassed himself. One has to cheer Huckabee on his success as this is what politics is all about. It shows the difference between upstarts and experience. Cruz will learn, but too late this election cycle.
I’ll bet you a moderately-priced steak dinner that Ted Cruz will be on a National Ticket this time next year and that Mike Huckabee won’t even have a television show.
Huckster had an opportunity to be gracious unto Cruz and he chose to, instead, make this all about himself.
My team put it together. Were the ones who recruited the people not only to be on the program, but were the ones who coordinated the effort. Were the ones who secured the permits, the staging.
Waaaa waaaa. Staging?? Huck's *generosity* and *benevolence* just flew out the window, big time. (No pun intended.)
Another FAIL for the Huckster.
“One has to cheer Huckabee on his success as this is what politics is all about. “
Huckabee, if he were a decent politician, would stop giving the Christian right a bad name. I wish he would go to Syria and be a pastor there.
That might have some validity in most election cycles, but in case you hadn't noticed, this cycle is about America's absolute disdain for politics as usual. The top four GOP candidates (pulling about 64 percent of the GOP vote) are all anti-establishment candidates. Playing the usual Electoral Game is NOT what will get votes this time around. Huckster outplayed himself, and utterly failed to read the electorate.
