Reading a book about past councils pre vatican two, it is amazing how the shenanigans of v2 and this synod are truly nothing exceptional. It is why popes laugh at Stalin for thinking he could destroy the Church. Not possible. Man tries very very hard to destroy it, I mean Bishops, with good and nefarious intentions. In the end, Christ pulls out what He wants, the same as He said before....nothing new, just clearer understandings of the past as it has always been....like the trinity, consubstantial....keep faith hope.....it looks like sausage being made to everyone but Jesus.

Yes. I’m a Catholic, and I’m confident that God will protect His Church. There have been some pretty bad Popes over the centuries, but none of them managed to officially pronounce an error in faith and morals ex cathedra.

But what disturbs me is that all this fooling around has damaged the Church in modern days and sent a lot of Catholics away, or given them lousy religious educations.
