FULL TITLE: Father Pavones Abolishing Abortion hits bookshelves today Pro-life manifesto calls upon the Church and State to protect unborn children
Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and a long-time pro-life activist, has long said hes not just fighting abortion, hes working to end it. His new book, Abolishing Abortion: How You Can Play a Part in Ending the Greatest Evil of Our Day (Thomas Nelson, HarperCollins Christian Publishing), released today, outlines a strategy to end abortion in the United States. In the book, Father Pavone explores biblical, moral, historical, and legal reasons Christians belong in the public square and challenges both churches and individual Christians to full engagement. Abolishing Abortion calls upon both the Church and the State to step up and fulfill their duties to protect the unborn child. It provides readers with legal facts, political strategies, and theological rationales for getting engaged and being effective. Endorsed by a whos who of political and pro-life leaders, Abolishing Abortion details how 1973s Roe v. Wade ruling actually changed the kind of government we have in the United States and guides readers through practical steps they can take to restore the democracy the Founding Fathers had in mind. Those who have endorsed the book include Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, who said Abolishing Abortion is a stirring call to both church and state to protect the unborn. Presidential hopefuls Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum have likewise endorsed the book. Abolishing Abortion hits bookshelves at a time when Americans are being presented with a series of undercover videos recorded at Planned Parenthood facilities, revealing the horror of their activities. Father Pavones book actually outlines the strategy that leads to these undercover projects, explains their power, and outlines the practical follow-up action that needs to be taken. Father Pavone said that through Abolishing Abortion, he has tried to express and spread the passion that he and so many others have for ending child killing. This book goes to the core of what we have to do to end abortion, he said. It openly and honestly discusses the failure of both the state and the church in this regard, and offers practical solutions, strategies and steps forward in which we can all take part. Bless you for your dedication to this cause.
Thank you
Has Fr. Pavone figured out a way to get the Popes to quit sending us pro-abortion bishops like Bernardin, O’Malley, Dolan, Cupich, McCarrick, Malooly...?
Father Pavone’s organization is ecumenical [he depends on $$ from all Christians], and as such, he does not promote [at vigils anyway; I attended one where he was the MC, just a few feet away from a PP] the use of the rosary [he stood at the side and chatted with the organizer of the vigil while local priests led the recitation, and faithful Catholics responded] OR procession of the Eucharist....
But fortunately saintly folks like Fr. John A Hardon and Mother Teresa, have set us straight.

I’m not sure I’m following your post. Is this supposed to be a good thing? The fact that Fr. Pavone doesn’t promote the Rosary or Eucharistic processions?
No, not a good thing, IMO. I had traveled over one hour to attend this prayer vigil thinking there would be a “rousing” recitation of the Rosary [right outside PP] led by Fr. Pavone, but that didn’t happen.
Yes, there were two local priests leading the rosary for the Catholics, but come on, I thought to myself [Father didn’t even join in]... It was disheartening.
Have you or anyone ever asked Fr. Pavone why he does not pray the Rosary at abortion clinics?
I’m going to assume, and I hate to assume anything that he has a reason. Maybe he’s too busy educating people who come by? I don’t know. If it was me though I would outright ask him. I’d rather know the answer than speculate.
It was a big “ecumenical” gathering, Morgana, and was advertised as such, so I think having the MC lead the rosary would have been somewhat of an insult to the other Christians in attendance. IOW, the Catholics gathering would have seemed more important to Father than the other Christians.
But, no, I haven’t questioned him on it. I only questioned those who knew him.
The priests who came to the Rockford, IL, abortuary [reciting exorcism prayers], closed that place up pretty quick. They knew the answer!
Very Vatican II of him. Why would anyone be surprised at this?
