Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
We learn a lot about Naaman in this passage, about his valor, his favor with the King of Syria, about his wealth and power, and about his arrogance. We also see a genuine conversion, but Naaman is in an awful spot. When he returns to Syria, one of his duties involves escorting his master to a pagan temple and bowing with him! Now that Naaman knows the One true God, how can he reconcile that action?
Elisha shows an understanding of Naaman's predicament that echoes St. Paul's advice to the Corinthians centuries later. Some of the early Christians were very concerned about eating food that had been sacrificed to idols when they were invited to dinner. Paul's advice was that there is only One God in heaven, and the others were fake, so just give thanks for the food and "don't ask!".
This gentle advice from Elisha was not typical of an Ancient Hebrew Prophet, but it did show a humanity, good sense, and mercy upon a new believer. It is also important to note that Elisha refused any payment from Naaman for this great miracle. This tells us a lot about his character as well.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.

This is one of my favorite stories. (And as you know, Jesus repeated it.)
Joining in prayer, left that other site, for Israel, our beloved America, and all God’s people.
