How often have you heard professing Christians say the Holy Spirit has guided them to make a decision that is CLEARLY against what is taught in Scripture.

It usually starts with God wants me to be happy... or some such thing.

Someone coined the term 'osteenism' the other day. Seems so appropriate to the age, when the laodicean urge has this 'feel good' slime to it.

I don't like the term sola scriptura because it 'sounds like' it refers to just written words and regarding meaning of passages as 'every man doing what is right in his own eyes', wher ein reality, reading and studying the Bible is so meaningful and filling for the hungry spirit of man BECAUSE there is The Holy Spirit teaching the born from above THROUGH the manna of scriptures. The scriptures are never 'sola' with the born from above ...
