Ready for the Rapture. Achieved OT VIII and my Temple garments are packed.

I remember the bumper stickers, back in the 1960s “in case of Rapture, this car will be unmanned.” And this was, I think, before the ‘Left Behind’ books.

And I was never sure if it was an honest comment or sarcasm. But some were on cars in the local Baptist church parking lot. location: northern Indiana.

Study Edward Irving and John Darby for the origins of this novel doctrine.

Study the bible and one will find the Rapture has been there all along...

Those of us who believe in the Rapture had studied the scriptures...Seems no one who rejects the Rapture can address those scriptures that reveal the Rapture...

Obviously Paul the apostle believed in the Rapture since he wrote about it...And no doubt many after him believed in it...Obviously the idea was suppressed by the Catholic religion...The Rapture is detrimental to the Catholic religion...

The Rapture clearly wasn't intended to take place until God was done with the Gentiles...It appears that that prophecy is coming to fruition so there was no need that God reveal the prophecy of the Rapture on a world wide scale until the reality of it was in the neighborhood...

It’s a 3 part series made in to a 4 part movie the last of which will be out in Nov. Kinda of a futuristic genre of the break down of a nation and everything run by the omnipotent govt. Folks relegated to their “zones” with certain areas forbidden for entry. Well, except for the hoi poloi. Written by Suzanne Collins. Once a year they have a “Tribute Game” between “selectees” from each zone who fight to the death. Odd but entertaining.

With what is going on in the world, pretrib rapturists thought they would gone by now, since things are only going to get worse, their voices and FR threads - like this one - are only going to get shriller as we go along.

Some of the more studious ones are abandoning their former superficial reading of the Bible, sadly some like MHG in Tennessee are so adamant they will take the mark of the beast (MOB) before they’ll admit they are wrong...and dam their souls for eternity.

Their doctrine demands that they be raptured BEFORE the beast/antichrist, therefore, when the antichrist and his mark does get here, they’ll say, “my pretrib doctrine says this cannot possibly be the antichrist, this absolutely cannot be the MOB, so, sure I’ll take the mark, I’ll be proving these pesky post-tribs wrong by doing it.”

I believe it was the history channel that did a series on Armagheddon (I thin Hagee had a lot to do with it- I’m no Hagee fan, and think he’s way opff on some things, but he’s right about some things too) and surprisingly it wasn’t ‘too far off’ from what the bible says about the end times, and it was kidna cool seeing the events unfold in visual form in a way that is possible (not that it will go down exactly like the shows- but it’s ‘possible’ that it could)

It was kinda cool seeing the unsaved slowly coming to the realization that the rapture had indeed taken place, despite the government and media desperately trying to ‘explain away’ the supernatural events taking place- and it showed how the masses, In the end times, will be deceived into following the anti-Christ

Things will be so bad In the end times, that masses of starving, penniless people will gobble up whatever ‘freebies’ the government promises them because they are so destitute and desperate The government will demand that the people come out of hiding and move to a ‘sanctuary city’ where everything will be supplied for them- fuel, food, water, electricity, etc

I personally believe that this whole ‘man-caused global climate change’ scam is going to factor in heavily into the end times as the government WILL use it to financially cripple the masses- and then the people will become dependent on the government who will then be able do or say whatever they want because people will be so desperate

The reason I think they will use climate change to cripple the people is because this will be a world-wide issue- all nations will be involved, heck, already are involved- prices are going through the roof- people are beginning ot have to severely cut down on things like electricity usage, fuel usage (although fuel prices have temporarily dropped for now) etc- Our Government cutting help to seniors, disabled, veterans etc- while pouring hundreds of billions into illegals- Our government talking about cutting disability and SS by 20% in 2016- Gov trying to increase fuel prices again (current leader would like to see $8.00 a gallon) etc things are going to get very desperate- Making it nearly impossible for big businesses by enacting draconian regulations, wage increases for minimum wages HC requirements etc-

Our government seems to be intentionally trying to bankrupt this country and it’s people, and I believe it is intentional and planned- and on top of it all they want massive carbon taxes and fines? That WILL be the straw UI believe that breaks the camel’s back- then the government, or anti-Christ will step in and ‘offer a solution’ which people can’t refuse

If you think about it, it’s not much different than how the mafia operates- make it almost impossible for the people to continue financially by stealing their money- and pretend you are doing them a favor by ‘protecting them’- I guess governments have taken their business models from the mafia-

Fully understanding the mysteries of God’s apocalypse is not required for salvation. Belief in Jesus Christ—the only name given under heaven whereby men may be saved—IS.

God will not “send a powerful delusion” to ANY believer, regardless of their errant prophetical musings. They love the truth and are thus saved, unlike those who do not love the truth and “will believe the lie”. The Father does not play silly Gotcha! games with his children, as we are kept by Him in His beloved Son.

I definitely anticipate a pre trib rapture for a number of reasons I could discuss for hours. HOWEVER, this is not a salvation issue. Saved believers of all stripes can and do disagree on this one. Having said that, I believe we are very close. I look forward for the imminent return of my Lord and Savior for His people.

Please don’t do that. Don’t engage. Don’t respond. Just let it be and take the high road.

This is for people, not any particular congregation of people. Please, think about it ...

Notice: The daily sport of posting Catholic bashing threads on FR stops today. Thanks.

Guess you missed the introduction to this thread.

If the definition of "bashing" now means no examination of roman catholic doctrine, or any other for that matter, then the Bereans would have to be cited as bashing as would Paul who questioned the existing beliefs of the time.

If we can't have a free and open discussion, albeit without name calling, then what's the purpose of this forum?

So people can post all the articles they want without any examination or question??

Don't think so.

If someone's doctrine can't stand examination then maybe they don't need to post on the RF.

[[If someone’s doctrine can’t stand examination]]

I’ll just add this

If someone’s doctrine can’t stand examination, then maybe it’s time to examine the doctrine

A solid doctrine withstands opposing views because truth is truth- There should be no fear of examination or discussions

If you believe the rapture must take place BEFORE the mark of the beast, and you take it believing this cannot possibly be the mark, then you will damn your soul for all eternity.

If you are not open to the possibility that your pretrib rapture could be wrong, RE: my last post, it most assuredly WILL become a matter of salvation.

God’s people are not under God’s wrath- the tribulation is a pouring out of God’s wrath on the ungodly- the bible states as much

....”I definitely anticipate a pre trib rapture for a number of reasons”....

I as well...sounds like you’ve looked closely at all positions to make your own determination on what God is revealing to us. I did so years ago when it became an issue for me to decide where I stood on the matter. Took quite awhile though became obvious where God wanted me to stand...and it is His truth I want to know, even if I might wish otherwise.

Frankly I would wish this period of Tribulation wouldn’t be so at all....so many will die ad such vast and serious destruction of the cities etc.

I watched Japan’s earthquake and Tusami unfold again a few nights ago and was struck that so much destruction so quickly......and that was just ONE earthquake. My mind cannot comprehend what this world and people left will one day face....I don’t think any can.
