Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed and precious Is Your Holy Name!
King of Kings,
Lord of Lords,
Ancient of Days!
Dear Father, as we look around us,
We See Desolation and Despair.
It is so easy to become discouraged,
As We See The Enemy Press in on all sides.
Open Our Eyes, That we may see Your Glory and Your Provision.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Elijah's story jumps a few chapters and we now find ourselves in the Second Book of Kings for this Dramatic Story.

The pagan god that King Ahaziah petitions for healing is none other than Beelzebub! This is an insult to the God of Israel of epic proportions, and of course, it is denounced by Elijah. In response, the king sends out his troops to apprehend the Prophet.

Earlier in this study, we saw God send fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice offered by Elijah. In this instance, fire comes from heaven to both protect Elijah and to demonstrate the enormity of God's power. Only the humble plea of the third officer saves him and his men from being incinerated.

Here is an interesting quotation which could be said to have applied to Elijah:

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
George Orwell
English essayist, novelist, & satirist (1903 - 1950)

Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
