My wife made me stop holding my breath when I turned blue.
You're kidding, right ? Cheers for Queers Dolan ?
Um, Ok, maybe you know something I don't but ...
OH, you just forgot the "/sarc" tag, gotcha.
Amazing! Prayers up, people! Thank God for men like him. Is the diamond still the hardest substance known to man? If so, that spine should be sparkling!
u-h-h-h-h-hh, the decision just came down, the ink isn't even dry yet....give him a break!!!!!!
God bless this bishop! And God bless Texas!
Thanks for the flag.
I just went to the online publication of my diocese to see if my bishop had made any statement. It came as no surprise to me that he has not.
But, at least, there was a link to a “Catholic News Services” article which quotes the condemnation of the ruling that was given by one Archbishop Kurtz, who is described as “The president of the U.S. bishops conference....” So there is that....
Just doing the will of God.
Catholic ping!
Let's hope that many other U.S. bishops and other clergy come out with similarly strong and clear statements about that foul ruling, and that an effective movement of resistance develops, and grows, and presses forward continuously to ultimate victory, and the eventual restoral of the true definition of marriage in America.
We have only just begun to fight.
Good news. I’m a bit surprised and disappointed the Archdiocese of Baltimore doesn’t have such a statement. It’s not too surprising sadly.
Reading this statement was a breath of fresh air! Exactly what needs to be said by every bishop.
Is the ink somehow drier in Bishop Strickland’s world?
I noticed that our local parish priest said nothing at all about this at Sunday Mass yesterday. Lets hope he speaks out next week. Lets hope our bishop orders him to. But I wont hold my breath.” ———
Same here, Cicero.
Strong armed bishops must be pressing priests to ignore or to emphasize the bishop’s agenda, is the only conclusion I can come to. I am embarrassed by the silence, bewildered by the see no evil, hear no evil approach of the shepherds. Modernism and clubby-ness and activity has out paced the duty to solid Catholic teaching by miles and for now decades.
Very scary!
