Apparently, atheism is figuring out that it is a dead end with nothing to offer except whining and complaining.

Humans, by dint of being human, are confronted with baffling questions about meaning, belonging, direction, our connection to other humans and the fate of our species as a whole.
Yes. Whether he intended to make so clear that it is, the author, when he wrote the above line, clearly indicates that atheism is a religion.

Left wing drivel hiding behind a pseudo philosophical fig leaf.

Atheism must be about more than just not believing in god Of course it is, it's about feeling intellectually superior to those "lesser people" who are so foolish as to believe in one. It's just about feeling smug and superior, nothing else.
What the silly bastards don't understand is that they will not have any choice in the matter for very long. By undermining the Christian God, they are going to get the Muslim one.
They will either be sucking carpet while facing Mecca, of they will be killed.
This is what future "Atheists" are going to look like.

I’ve also found that the atheists I’ve met are pretty full of themselves...on the Narcissism Express.

Ive also found that the atheists Ive met are pretty full of themselves...on the Narcissism Express. Full of themselves is right. You would have to be full of yourself to be so concerned as to whether or not people believe in something just because you don't.

Starting from the philosophical foundation as he does while striving to convert people to his brand of atheism, would it be out of line to call him a fundamentalist evangelical atheist?

The human impulse is to seek answers, and to date, atheism has been unsatisfactory in its response. Gee, I wonder why. Could it be they refuse to believe that a higher form than humans exist?

fundamentalist evangelical atheist?
Yes, and that made me smile. Not quite an lol, but pretty close.

I can see one considering him or herself agnostic. But atheism is a stretch that I can’t see at all. A pointless existence? Mathematics demonstrates to me quite clearly that that just isn’t so. And I believe deeply there’s more than merely human construction therein. It’s the language of existence.

“you came from nothing. your existence is an accident. life has no particular meaning. when you die, you’ll go back to nothing.”
sheesh, what’s not to like about that philosophy?

Q: a vegan, a crossfit enthusiast, and an atheist walk into a bar. how do you know which one is which?
A: just wait... within 30 seconds and they’ll be sure to have told everyone in the room.

you came from nothing. your existence is an accident. life has no particular meaning. when you die, youll go back to nothing.
And they're such comforting words full of hope when tragedy claims the life of loved ones.
