Well, certainly “green”. The EP is and has been known for sometime as the “Green Patriarch”. As for socialist, well no, not at all. As you know, the Roman Church has consistently condemned socialism for the past 100+ years. What you are looking at is a form of Distributism, which has a well established theological pedigree within The Church.
I find many of the threads here on FR fascinating insofar as they demonstrate how very differently Eastern Christians view the theological teachings of our hierarchs as opposed to how you Latins (and for that matter the proddies) do. It seems, left or right, you always see mundane, current political agendas in the theological teachings of hierarchs.
Yes, another false communion, false unity.
