Earlier this week a news report unwittingly demonstrated how Turkey—once deemed the most “secularized” Muslim nation—is returning to its Islamic heritage, complete with animosity for the infidel West and dreams of the glory days of jihadi conquests.

Muslims live by the sword. Vast numbers of them need to die by the sword.

The enraged Turkish soldiers . . . gave no quarter. When they had massacred and there was no longer any resistance, they were intent on pillage and roamed through the town stealing, disrobing, pillaging, killing, raping, taking captive men, women, children, old men, young men, monks, priests, people of all sorts and conditions… There were virgins who awoke from troubled sleep to find those brigands standing over them with bloody hands and faces full of abject fury… [The Turkish jihadis] dragged them, tore them, forced them, dishonored them, raped them at the cross-roads and made them submit to the most terrible outrages…

Tender children were brutally snatched from their mothers’ breasts and girls were pitilessly given up to strange and horrible unions, and a thousand other terrible things happened. . .

Temples [including Hagia Sophia] were desecrated, ransacked and pillaged . . . sacred objects were scornfully flung aside, the holy icons and the holy vessels were desecrated…. Immense numbers of sacred and profane books were flung on the fire or torn up and trampled under foot.

This is what Turkey’s Muslims are proud of.

Didn’t I just read Erdogan lost elections to secularists?

Erdogan’s AKP party shrank to 41% in the Turkish parliament. The Islamists can’t form a coalition & the Kurds are now represented.

Doesn’t mean the would-be Caliph or Sultan in his brand new palace won’t pull something big, like proclaiming Hagia Sophia a mosque once again.

Of course he can kiss Turkey’s joining the EuroUnion goodbye if he does. Dredging up the bloody history of Turkish slaughter of non-Muslims & doing so with pride won’t help, either.

Isn’t Turkey already in the EU? And NATO? Not saying they should be, just trying to keep my bearings. Compass needle is swinging all over the place lately.

Bunch of lone wolf ideological zealots goin' around randomly harming folks.

What triggered this totally understandable reaction? Were the folks conducting a "Draw Mohamet" contest? Were their ankles exposed?

Why is the media not giving us the whole story? What did these Christians do to provoke this attack?

“Negotiations were started on 3 October 2005, and the process, should it be in Turkey’s favour, is likely to take more than a decade to complete.[4] The membership bid has become a major controversy of the ongoing enlargement of the European Union.[5]”

Found a neat site about Turkish accession to EU. Apparently not a done deal yet as it has been see-sawing like this for decades.

Turkey is a NATO member (supported us with troops in the Korean conflict) & still has a peace treaty with Israel, so there is still a lot for Erdogan to throw away if he wants to go full eastern & compete with ISIS or Iran in the region instead of seeking cooperation with Europe & the West.

Islam does strange things to the human mind.

Not EU yet... however the mad RINO Bushes were pushing for Europe to accept a muslim nation like Turkey, which the French were rejecting.

We got some real class acts amongst suicidal globalists.
