Shame on the "Edina Community Lutheran Church" for stepping in and hosting the gay conference when it was booted from the Catholic Church.
Archbishop Nienstedt upholds the Catholic teaching of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. He has stated that Satan is behind sodomy, abortion, contraception, pornography and the redefinition of marriage.[23] He opposes stem cell research involving human embryo stem cell lines.

Edina Community Lutheran ChurchI know it isn't LCMS or Wisc Synod, since it has a female pastor. It doesn't list any denominational connection, and the website goes out of its way to promote LGBTQ, so it may well be an independent Lutheran congregation version of a Metropolitan Community Church.

The only intersection of sin and the church is at the Cross, where the sinner dies to his old self and his old sins and is reborn into new life, a transformation worked by the Holy Spirit in the new believer.

NYer, this seems to be a good candidate for your “Bishops with a spine” ping.

“how to bridge the gap between the LGBT community and the Catholic Church” Uh, it's not supposed to be bridged in any matter. Christ came to reconcile man to God, not God to man. The LGBT “community” is only trying to force acceptance of its lifestyle and morality on the church. No, sorry, not in my Bible.

"It found that Minnesotans are leaving the Catholic church in large numbers 6 percent have left in the last 7 years. Catholic identification has dropped from 28 percent to 22 percent."
The Apostle John pointed out that those who leave the church were never part of it to begin with. The purge of the false Christians from the Church is a good thing. God is taking care of his remnant.
