osea had warned that God would take Israel, his unfaithful wife, back out into the wilderness, that he might rekindle their love. They would once again call each other husband and wife, and be betrothed anew as a result of the trip to the wilderness… Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her…. And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
