Pope Francis has warned the powerful of the Earth they will answer to God if they fail to protect the environment to ensure the world can feed its population.
The planet has enough food for all, but it seems that there is a lack of willingness to share it with everyone, Francis said at a mass to mark the opening of the general assembly of the Catholic charitable organisation Caritas.
We must do what we can so that everyone has something to eat, but we must also remind the powerful of the Earth that God will call them to judgment one day and there it will be revealed if they really tried to provide food for Him in every person and if they did what they could to preserve the environment so that it could produce this food.
The striking comments from the Argentinian pontiff came ahead of the upcoming publication of a papal encyclical on the ethical aspects of environmental issues that is eagerly awaited by campaigners for action to address global warming....

He means you and me, of course. Doesn't the organization he heads up have many billions of dollars of land, treasures, monies, artworks and more? Someone rent him the movie "Shoes of the Fisherman."

Yes, of course.
According to Liberation Theology, Christ teaches us that we must compel people by threat of force imposed by the government to furnish money for “charity”, which the government agencies will deplete for “administrative costs”.
Environmental Theology is even worse, because it replaces Christ with Gaia.

The world today:
1) Is cleaner than it’s been at any time since the Industrial Revolution
and
2) Is shattering all records for agricultural production.
Respectfully Submitted, Your Holiness

And the pope will face God’s judgment for his communist mentality.

If the earth isn’t in danger,
then those who care about it are caring in vain,
and their source of righteousness is bogus,
and you’ve just condemned them to hell,

He’s under a special kind of accountability.
No need for us to worry about “justice” for the Pope.

Not if you're born again!!!
There he goes again, inventing doctrine... There is the Greate White Throne Judgement, where all none believers will be judged for all their unrighteous acts and declining salvation provided by His Son by grace through faith.
Then there is the Judgement Seat of Christ, where all believers will be judged, and rewards will either be granted or taken away, but their souls will stay saved.

The Vatican has been causing poverty in Italy by not paying taxes on non religious business ventures.
The Pope is starving the poor by taking tax free dollars doing actual business tax free in Italy and is more guilty himself of what he accuses others of being.
Then all the money laundering in their bank for criminals preying on the poor.

The only problem is that the great famines of the 20th Century were caused by war or deliberate political policy. For example, China between 1911 and circa 1980 suffered through a revolution against the Qing Dynasty, civil war, the warlords that interrupted food supplies, the Japanese invasion of China, the war between the Nationalists and Communists between 1945 and 1949, and the ill-advised Great Leap Forward--millions of Chinese starved to death given these tumults in the country.

Why don't he hold the governments in the countries that are starving responsible?
Growing food is really not that difficult.
People aren't starving because civilized nation have "too much", nor because we have "ruined the environment" in poor countries.
