The cult of St. George....

Priest Parading the (arm) body part of George in the church

Then they have dance groups perform before his statue like pagans did theirs....go figure that.

Then they did their Mass service there

Here they parade his statue

The diocese of Gozo is one of the smallest local Churches in the world with the highest priest population ratio in the Roman Catholic Church...... It is made up of about 25,000 Catholics who are organized in 14 parishes, and to date has above 200 priests and religious.... Over 25% of these priests are serving the Catholic Church in various countries of the world.

In 1958, Pope Pius XII bestowed on it the title of Minor Basilica, and in 1967 it was aggregated to the Lateran Archbasilica in Rome.

In 1976, it became the first post-Conciliar Collegiate in the Diocese of Gozo.

...”And still they deny idol worship and paganism”....

This St George actually can be traced back to a pagan God....even the church recognizes that on their site. It does have an interesting history.....the church itself was is on a pagan God’s former site.

I think with most of the Saints there’s a history and reasons catholics choose to worship before them as we have seen in past threads. But it’s clear to those outside the catholic faith that it’s idolatry....they’ve just given it a different name....like many other things within the church.

The many saints have simply replaced the many gods of paganism.

....”The many saints have simply replaced the many gods of paganism.”.....

Well it sure looks that way...though they wouldn't see it that way.

Why they think these corpses, body parts and departed Saints can do anything for them is beyond understanding, because why even do so if they have Jesus?...unless of course the Jesus they have is something other than the Jesus of the Bible???....he's seemingly always in the background as if a "add-on" to all the other "stuff" given attention and honor. Which is what cults do. Despite all their explanations and reasons on the threads none justifies this rather evidences a departing from the scriptures...and the faith once taught.
