We pray today for the members of the body of Christ that serve us in the Armed Forces and in positions of leadership and authority in Governmental positions around our Nation. Let their horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) be exalted like that of a wild ox; anoint them with fresh oil.
Cause them to flourish like the palm tree; to be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful; to grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. We declare that, growing in grace they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and spiritual vitality and rich in the verdure of trust, love, and contentment.
We want the world to see that they are living memorials to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises, so bless them, Father, with Your fullness of redemption from every curse. Hide them safely under the shadow of Your wings and give them the words when they are asked to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in them.
You are our Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in You.
