“It is very common for Christians to simply assume that they live in Mayberry, trusting that because they know the Lord Jesus, everything will always be fine and nothing bad can happen to them and their families,” Fride wrote.

I thought Sheriff Taylor and Deputy Fife had everything under control. This is truly shocking.

Meanwhile in Detroit.

Detroiters are even taking their guns to church. When Rosedale Park Baptist had trouble with drug dealers and car thefts, Pastor Haman Cross Jr. told his congregants from the pulpit that they should consider getting concealed-carry permits.

"I love the Lord; I'm a Christian," he says. "But like I told the congregation, let's send a message right in front. I want the word out in the community, if you steal any of our cars, I'm coming after you."

At another black church, Greater St. Matthew Baptist, Pastor David Bullock points out the pews that where his armed congregants usually sit.

"The chairman of my deacon board, he carries," Bullock says. "And then on the west side, there's a middle-aged woman who also carries."

So did our priest. The nuns at my kids’ former preschool were on board as well, even though the sign at the door stated (per state law) otherwise.

A Navy Chaplin once told me that Saint Barbara is the Saint of firearms.

Well, if you don’t like the reasons this Priest gives, try this on:

Someday soon Islamic Terrorists are going to raise the stakes here at home.

Christians and Jews need to protect their interests 24/7 starting NOW!

What?

You want to wait to get hit and then sign up to guard the ashes?

Christians/Catholics in the middle east and Africa should all be packing heat. Less heads chopped, less angst, more dead criminals, more life to enjoy.

State law here allows pastors to ban guns in church, even for those who have CCW permits. Our bishop has banned guns in all churches in the Diocese.

Our Latin Mass parish has held several CCW courses, but not on Church property. Various parishioners with farms or other large lots have hosted the CCW classes.

We have a core group of gun owners who somewhat facetiously refer to ourselves as the "God and Gun Club." This group has been involved in arranging the CCW classes.

Naturally, of course, we do not advocate violating state law or the rules of the Diocese about "carrying" on church property.

This appears to be the church at Domino Farms.
