didn’t really finish my sentence; we went to the P house because they wouldn’t go to straight bars and that place started hopping after midnight when we got off.

I miss them all.

“It tells the story of how, as a boy growing up in a lax Catholic family in Napa, California, he became addicted to pornography.” -from the article

The word “lax” reminded me of what St. Pope Pius V once said: “All the evil in the world can be attributed to lukewarm Catholics.”

Thank God for the work of Joseph Sciambra.

i have to disagree with the Pope - all the evil in the world can be attributed to Satan. There are many, many, who have come to Christ who were former homosexuals - therefore, it’s a lie that they were “born that way.” God help those who don’t share their faith with those who are living in sin - I had a very good friend who is gay - he knew exactly what I believed and how I felt about his lifestyle, and yes, I witnessed to him many times. I didn’t hit him over the head with Jesus, but he knew that I cared about him as a person. That is the approach Christians should take - not this pious, holier-than-thou attitude. After all, we are all sinners saved by grace. For those who have come to the Lord Jesus in repentance.

Lukewarm Catholics have bought in to Satan by not accepting (continually or correctly) the strength and the power of the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church. If all Catholics were of the saint-seeking variety [partaking of the Sacraments frequently] there would not be so much evil in the world. Think of every Catholic woman who walked the face of the earth being like Mother Teresa, and every Catholic man to be like Padre Pio, and then you’d be catching the pope’s drift.

As far as bopping one over the head with Jesus, I don’t see much wrong with that if done the correct way (I mean to say homosexuality is dealt with pretty strongly in the Bible), but to show the love you did with your very good friend sounds pretty darn good to me. Most would not have even bothered. God be with you.

Everyone should be more like Jesus Christ - regardless of gender.

I’m glad to know there’s someone else out there who had this experience. No, you don’t see it when you’re young and trying to be cool. I look back now and think: what were you thinking? I even had a job at Studio 54.

Wow. I bet you saw some things in your day.

I really do love these guys and recently witnessed the precious truth of Christ to one of them. He seemed VERY open to hearing it. I am certain that this guy in SF is absolutely right that people in the gay lifestyle are miserable, broken souls. It’s a trap by the devil.

I’m considering buying this book off Amazon because it sounds like an interesting read. I may not though, one reviewer said it was too “graphic.” 5 of the 17 reviews are one star. If you criticize homosexuality, they come out of the woodwork to condemn your work.
