Heavenly Father –

We thank you, Father, for in times past You have raised up leaders to stand up to evil. Some, like FDR, were physically weak with a debilitating handicap, which humbled him. But when we are weak, You are strong. And in our days, we pray to raise up leaders of all types, filled with Your Spirit, who will stand for what is right against the fury of the Evil One.

Grant us, Lord, a heart of repentance to turn from our sins. Give us of heart to learn Your ways and, through the power of Your Spirit, keep Your commandments. Bring revival to our land, so we may become Your people and reflect Your Light in this dark world.

Bless all those who sacrifice and put themselves in harm’s way – home and abroad – to keep us safe. Protect them from the enemy on all fronts. Give a special grace to all those who suffer and are persecuted for Your Name’s sake.

In Jesus Name we pray,
