So you are just about 3 days too late! I covered the concept of “Hell” as a defeater to the Christian faith yesterday in Sunday School. I was working with Tim Keller’s The Reason for God text and also read the appendix on Hell in Groothuis’ text on apologetics. This article would have helped a lot!

This article does not get to the core of the liberal heresy.

The liberals took the low view of Christ. That is that Christ is just a man. A righteous man. But still just a man.

That means that the core mystery of Christianity is not God’s propitiation on behalf of a fallen race but rather a mere human sacrifice —as in rings on the fingers bells on the toes, bone in the nose. And of course homosexuals in the priesthood which seems to be what all human sacrifice religions of old also wound up with.
