I have never known a Priest who would not take a few minutes to hear a confession if asked.

The illustration above is the setting I remember from confession. The contemporary format of sitting on either side of a table out of Starbucks shop with no obscuration keeps me away from the sacrament.

I have always said that an hour before the vigil Mass for a parish of several thousand families only sends the message that it really must not be too big a deal.
