Excellent move by Wyoming Catholic College! Hillsdale did this back in the 1980s. They have their own group of private lenders and endowment to replace the federalistas. Since their graduates are taught useful stuff, their employability is way better than average. Also, since their teaching includes character development, their default rate is close to nil.

As a result of these two factors, their loan rates and conditions are also far better than what the federalistas can offer. The sooner more colleges follow suit, the better.

As a big side benefit, it will mean less funds available and/or higher rates for useless majors like xxxxx studies.

Larry Arn mentions a visiting German Baroness and her grandson who is attending Hillsdale college before introducing Mike Lee. I’m assuming the baroness left a hefty donation.

Hillsdale college was the first in the nation to open itself to black students prior to the civil war. Over the years students have been treated to such speakers as Frederick Douglass, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pat Sajak. (Sajak is a boardmember)

There is a pretty impressive list of students who passed through Hillsdale college as well. People as Diverse as Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) and a whole stack of politicians.

I grew up not 20 miles from Hillsdale and can attest to the fact that it is not a typical college town. Its a farm town with one of the best liberal arts schools in the nation.
