There is a difference between protestant, catholic, and Christian.

Protestant as you probably define it is anyone not affiliated with the catholic church. That's a pretty broad brush and not reflective of the actual demographics of this country.

Catholics, as ya'll told us, affiliate with the roman catholic church based in Rome.

Christians, on the other hand, affiliate with Jesus Christ.

Now, if you really want, we can look at voting patterns, church attendance, support for same-sex marriage, abortion ,etc and see the impact catholicism is having on this country. So get off your high horse regarding your alledged "self and self alone protestantism" knock on non-catholics.

Are you presuming to tell me that all over the world, every time a catholic service is conducted, that every message, every talking point, EVERYTHING, is identical?? Until you, or any other catholic, can show that you need to withdraw your allegation.

I can tell you already your answer will be no just by looking at the articles posted on this board posted by catholics. Unless you presume to tell me each one is cleared by the Vatican.

Sadly, I will admit that Christianity's influence is waning in this country. When the PCUSA is considering allowing same sex marriages that is never a good thing. BTW, I am not Presbyterian.

Dimocrats and republicans are not the answer to this country's problems.

What this country needs is a return to Christ and Christ centered values.
