The first courses of Catholic University in Erbil, the capital of Northern Kurdistan, will begin this year.
Recently, Chaldean Archbishop Bashar Matti Warda, ordinary of the archdiocese of Erbil and a great supporter of the project, announced in a letter the imminent commencement of activity in four faculties, including a college for studies in business administration, reported Fides.

In the letter from the patriarchates official communications media, the archbishop appeals to all potential sponsors and collaborators to contact the archdiocese to put at the disposal of the university donations and or competencies in the field of university education.
On October 20, 2012, in Ankawa, in the suburb of Erbil where the population is mainly Christian, the foundation stone of the university was laid. The local Chaldean Church made available 30,000 square metres of land for the university campus.
From the outset, the goal from the outset was to create a private center of university studies open to all, in touch with the demands of the market and closely associated with scientific research.

God bless them and protect them.
Sadly, it’ll be a major target.
Since it is in the domain of the Kurds, they will pretty much be left alone. The Kurds hate, and I mean ISIS.
Correction:

They have to tread lightly let’s not forget one of the greatest warriors for Islam was Saladin who was a Kurd.
The Koran should be assailed for its theological assertions beside the killing of non believers where it uses common Arabic tribal mores; total subjuation of of women which doesn’t set well with some groups including Kurds, the use of wine, dietary bans,(pork) etc some of which btw is in the talmud and coded them in Sharia.
The Sharia was a continuing code developed well after Mohamed’s demise. With no scriptual direction given or attibution by God to do so with their revisions. As in the old testament where God spoke through the prophets.
What they have to do is approach this is in this fashion. We believe in one God. We are Kurds we love each other let God decide who is right or who is wrong and live together peaceably. Including those who refuse to believe also must answer not man but to God not man.
Yet I have seen articles of the Kurdish armed forces, which, outside of Israel, does have women in it. I kid you not.
