The nature of the fire and brimstone sermons usually have most tune out half way through. Then those who do have ears that hear get to the part of sermon where the Grace of God is presented.
I've seen it happen. Some get so wrapped up in the "preacher gets over the top with this hell and brimstone stuff" that they totally miss the grace part. Then I've also seen preachers who never do get to the grace part.
