"Cardinal hits young traditionalists who want to ‘be clear in their positions’: calls it ‘the beginning of terrorism’"

One of Pope Francis’ closest advisors, and the leader of one of the most “liberal” Catholic hierarchies in the world, has denounced “traditional” young people for wanting “to be clear in their positions,” warning that it is a path to “terrorism.” In a related interview with the Jesuit magazine America, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, the head of the German Bishops’ conference, applauded people in homosexual partnerships who want a “lifelong” relationship.

“I am astonished that most of our young people, and also Catholic homosexuals who are practicing, want a relationship that lasts forever,” Marx told America. “We must begin with the main points of the doctrine, to see the dream: the dream is to have a person say, a man and woman say, ‘You and you, forever. You and you, forever.’ And we as church say, ‘Yes, that’s absolutely OK. Your vision is right!’

“So we find the way. Then perhaps there is failure. They find the person, and it is not a great success. But life-long fidelity is right and good.”

He added, “The church says that a gay relationship is not on the same level as a relationship between a man and a woman. That is clear. But when they are faithful, when they are engaged for the poor, when they are working, it is not possible to say, ‘Everything you do, because you are a homosexual, is negative.’”

Asked a question about what is in store in the Church for “transgender” or “other individuals that are not formally considered within the ethical frameworks that are currently in place” in the Catholic Church, Marx responded, “I think the main point in the Gospel is not the ethical point.”

What people like Marx do is distort the entire orthodox position. Nobody has ever said that everything that persons with homosexual tendencies (I refuse to call them “gay,” because that gives the lobby what it wants is wrong. Simply that active homosexuality is wrong. The Church has always loved the sinner and hated the sin...until now, where we apparently want to give sinners a special definition of themselves that transcends even Mosaic Law and the Gospels.

So when the Bishops, Cardinals and Pope teach things that are directly in contradiction to scripture, who does a Catholic listen to?

And is the Church and/or Pope still infallible?

Sola Ecclesia or Sola Scriptura?

It is too bad to see the Catholic Church I grew up in become a parody of itself.

Well, in that case, I guess Henry VIII should be canonized;
because while the church might hold him to be in error with regard to his marriage arrangements, at least he was trying; and he was engaged for the poor, and tried to otherwise rule well...

The cardinal should be thrown out.

“The German bishops’ have repeatedly stated, in the face of opposition in the past from Pope Benedict XVI and now from the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, that they will simply defy the teaching of the Church and her norms of practice and start offering divorced and civilly remarried Catholics Communion.”

OK,Henry VIII should have been granted his divorce.

Absolutely nothing new. Why in the world do people follow this false religion? I will never understand it. Go back to what the Bible teaches and find a group that actually follows it. This teaching that gays are okay is going to make gay priests okay too and who knows what else. Wake up people.

But when they are faithful

Yeah, I think the Cardinal is not quite understanding the homosexual lifestyle. Faithfulness, is not what their lifestyle is about. Why is it so hard for people to understand that this is just another scam. The true purpose of which is to destroy the institution of marriage, as it has been known, and replace it with something "fairer"; which, inevitably, will not work nearly as well.

The Special Interest Groups (Grievance groups), have been doing this for decades, taking one item at a time on their list for imposing radical change in America. And, they have been quite successful. I believe marriage, as we have always known it, is done in this country.

So the Catholic Church is now on the “whatever makes you feel good and let’s all just get along” religion bandwagon. Hey. All that matters is that you love everyone. Two men want to get married? A man wants to turn into a woman? Someone denies the divinity of Jesus Christ? Who cares? As long as they are nice and you are nice to them, we can all go to Heaven!

None of this has been “from the Chair of Peter”, meaning that none of this has been rendered “infallible”.

The Roman Catholic Church is going gay at an alarming rate.

I expect further attacks on orthodox Christians to follow on FR.

If the Catholic Church ever blesses homosexual unions then it will prove itself to be false and fallible.

Pauls letter to the Romans probably wasn’t been read in catholic church for decades, if at all.

The Catholic Church is not based on the contemporary beliefs held by certain personages. The Church is based on Christ’s teachings as handed on by Sacred Scripture and the Sacred Tradition that has been developed, expounded and handed on over the centuries. There always was and always will be the Judas Iscariots but through the power of the Holy Spirit the Church continues to love and guide in spite of ourselves.
