From Proverbs 16 today, I am overflowing with prayers and praise to You for our Nation and our military men and women.
For those in authority in Washington, D.C., in our State capitols, county seats and City Halls, we pray today. Your Word says, “Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.” We trust You to remove those that are prideful and arrogant. “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
For thoseYou have placed in these positions of authority, I pray that they would roll their works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to You]; so that You will cause their thoughts to become agreeable to Your will, and so shall their plans will be established and succeed. Therefore, their ways will please You and You will make even their enemies to be at peace with them.
Give us leaders, Sir, who will fulfill this Word:” Divinely directed decisions are on the lips of the king; his mouth should not transgress in judgment.”
We continue to pray for our enemies. You did not create these men and women to be so filled with evil! You desire that all men be saved, so send Your Word to Muslims all over the world so that they can choose the love and beauty of Jesus, our Christ, and become new creatures with a final resting place in Your Heaven.
Our hope and complete trust is in Your goodness, Your grace and favor that has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness to overcome in these times. We are here for such a time as this.
