They installed a server rack full of equipment. We were one of the largest hospital systems in the southeast and had just completed a multimillion dollar datacenter renovation. Not even our manager knew the deal. It was supposedly a request made by IT security and leadership.
A request by IT security is hardly the same thing as a random government agency coming in nefariously.
I work in IT for a state agency. We have connections to hospitals because that’s the nature of things these days. Hospitals have connections and computers in our state facilities that we’re not allowed to touch. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
