Abigail is the only Bible woman I know who went against her husband’s wishes because what he wanted was “dangerous”. Other Bible women disobeyed rulers. (The NT says we need to obey governing authorities but this is not emphasized nearly as much as wifely submission.)

Rebekah and Abigail went against their husband’s wishes. There is no hint of censure against Rebekah in the Bible (Genesis 27:1-28:2); and Abigail was commended for her wise and brave actions (1 Samuel 25).
