Actually, it is unqualified. If you have two mothers(one birth and one by adoption), you honor them both.

That is not the norm and that is not homosexuality.
That is an unfortunate event and a person honors God and His commandment by doing as you have said, but it in no way mitigates the unspoken part of the commandment that you need a mother and father to be able to fulfill that commandment.
