You betcha they do as they stand there and serve the Eucharist to a known voter and promoter of abortion. Knowing full well they are, as your example from the Catechism says, in "grave sin" and are leading others into mortal sin.

How do you feel about abortion, sterilization, IVF, contraception, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, assisted suicide? Honest question. These are all the pro-life issues. What does your denomination/interpretation say? No one stated their opinions and I for one would like to know. Ever take part in a demonstration, counseling, boycott? Rn, how do you feel not only from a faith, but a nurse's position? You have a unique perspective. Can we all agree that these are wrong?

There are also rubrics in this regard, which both priests and Eucharistic Ministers are obliged to follow. It is not always a black-and-white issue. I am neither, so I cannot make the call.

Are you a confessor? Do you know for a fact whether or not this individual has been to confession and repented? Can you read souls?

You obviously do a lot of research in your interpretation. You vehemently criticize what you feeL is wrong. What of those who have or are contemplating these procedures? You said the rest would be legalistic, but did not answer as t to whether or not you have participated in demonstrations or boycotts, what have you done, if anything?
