Indeed so, and “Christ” and “Messiah” just translate as “anointed one”, so the Muslims can easily boot out the bit about needing a divine Savior.

Thanks. I see the article was already posted. The overflow of refugees in Lebanon and Jordan is staggering. These people need all the help we can give.

If you were responding to my comment of “scant information” I meant from missionaries in ISIS held areas and on the immediate periphery in Kurdish areas.

>>One of the main reasons Christianity spread so quickly through the ancient world was because of the intense persecution Christians suffered. It truly separated the genuine from the posers and people who were sincerely seeking to know the truth couldn’t help but see real faith in action.<<

Indeed. The next article on Iran will show this as well.

I read all the comments,no one mentioned the single key fact, that Isa appears Personally to isolated people. They know Him directly. Also see about Mary’s appearance to half a million, including live action on t.v.

I’ve always wondered how Muslims couldn’t see Islam for what it was. But I guess the evil had to reach a high enough threshold for them to wake up.

The Koran considers Christ one of the great prophets (Abraham, Moses (or Mussa), Jesus, and Mohammed. They also believe in the virgin birth. However, they deny Christ’s divinity.

I’ll ask for an elaboration on the above comments. There was no mention in the article of personal visions or appearances of Christ Jesus.

News of Christians bringing aid to ME Christians and non Christians is limited to missionary reports. Here is one such report.

The lack of media coverage does not appear to have impeded the plans of the Almighty. From the article:
One reason they’re killing is that they wish to stop the rapid spread of Christianity. There has never been a time when a greater percentage of Syrian Muslims, in-country and refugees, have believed in Christ than in the past three years of civil war.
This has been one of my pet theories all along on why the surge in hardcore Islam is happening now.  It's panic.  Raw, palpable fear.  God is moving and they don't grasp it.  Like Nero and the other dictators of Rome, they think they can kill it.  They have no idea Who they are up against, and how badly it will go for them in the end:
Daniel 4:34-35  And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:  (35)  And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
So be it.

Peace,

SR

I read not too long ago that in Iran Muslims are converting at such a rate that the government, instead of jailing them and extracting justice, they are telling them to just be quiet about it.

God is at work. Praise and thanks for that. I have spoken to Muslims in the past. They told me incredible stories of visions and dreams about Jesus. God can penetrate even the most hardened heart.

And there are churches right here in 'Merica where the congregations continue to be heathen. It's no different. There is spiritual apostasy wherever you go. That is why the book of Galatians was written.

I have a friend and professional colleague who is Muslim. His family immigrated from Bosnia when he was a teenager. He is now 20-something. His whole family have become American citizens, express political conservative ideals, and assimilated into American culture. When I asked him if he goes to the Mosque he says, “no, because I don’t like the hatred they talk about America.” He talks about praying, I am not at sure that he is praying to the right God, or that he understands how one can have a personal relationship with The Lord.

I pray for him and his family everyday to find the true love of God and the salvation of our Lord.

Though I am a deeply committed Christian, I don’t seem to have that gift of being able to sit down with someone and convince them of the gospel message. I take every opportunity to “plant seeds” so to speak, and then pray that the Holy Spirit will do the rest. I have to admit that I am a bit afraid that I will do more harm than good if I insult his Muslim roots too much.

If any of you have advice for me of exactly how to successfully witness to this Muslim, I am listening!
