I consider protestant Christians to be my brothers and sisters in Christ. But the anti-Catholic nastiness on this thread does not come across as very Christian.

The more that RCC members post on FR, the less I am sure we are all born-again (as Jesus Himself said we must be) Christians. Males and females, definitely; brothers and sisters in Christ, no.

One reason of many: the meaning given for the RCC Eucharist is different from the meaning Jesus gave for what is called The Lord's Supper, a frequent, introspective, prayerful remembrance of Him.

The Catholic Church interprets the words of Jesus literally when he said, "This is my body."

Protestants have a different interpretation.
