The same with the Catholic Church.

Have you ever been to a Catholic Mass? If so, you would know that we’re not worshipping Mary or the saints. They are revered, but they are not treated as gods.

Here’s a link to the “Order of Mass.” If you were to read through the text, you would see that we are praying to God.

Mary and the saints are mentioned only in requests for them to pray for us:

http://catholic-resources.org/ChurchDocs/Mass-RM3.htm

I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done
and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
